I installed this in my 1988 MC SS. The problem I had was that my HVAC system was always in the default position, regardless of selector lever position. NOS HVAC controllers are very expensive (if you can find one) so are the parts, I decided to go this route. The controller arrived within a few days. It had been cleaned and re-lubed and operates smooth. You have to install the new face and knobs yourself, easy job. Anyways, my HVAC system is now working the way it should.
